Pioneer Tech Names September Students of the Month - Including Blackwell’s Emma Heath

Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) is proud to recognize Jenna Benson, a senior from Shidler enrolled in PTC’s Biomedical Sciences Academy, and Emma Heath, a senior from Blackwell High School enrolled in PTC’s Cosmetology program, as the September Students of the Month.

Benson is a hardworking and determined student who has shown an impressive commitment to her education. When physical challenges caused her to miss class last year, she didn’t let that put her behind. She worked ahead when possible and completed assignments from home to stay caught up with her classmates.

Instructor Cara Bodick says Benson is also an encourager who treats her classmates and others with respect. Her warm personality, perseverance and willingness to work hard have made her a valued part of the Biomedical Science Academy.

Heath brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine desire to learn to Pioneer Tech’s Cosmetology program. She is dependable, eager to improve her skills and willing to jump in wherever she is needed. She also takes pride in her work both in the classroom and salon.

Instructor Kayla Randol says Heath has a natural way of noticing when someone needs help and offering encouragement without being asked. She leads through her actions and has represented Pioneer Tech through SkillsUSA, competing in Barbering at both the district and state levels.

As part of Pioneer Tech’s monthly recognition, Students of the Month receive exclusive Student of the Month cups and enjoy complimentary beverages throughout their recognition month.
