Local Teachers Receive Chamber Awards

Haley Curfman “I AM Blackwell”.  From Haley Curfman’s Social Media page:  “I’m still in shock this morning, but here it goes… I am so honored that I received the “I Am Blackwell” award from the Blackwell Chamber of Commerce at their 126th annual banquet last night. An award “In recognition and appreciation of your dedication and valued commitment to the community of Blackwell” my plaque reads, and it is truly surreal. I love my hometown and I’m proud to be from Blackwell! There was no question when I graduated college that I would be coming back here to start my career as a teacher, buy a home one day, and build my life. I’m not sure how the process works, but I’m so thankful I was selected. It’s a big honor, to me, to be recognized by my community, but, and I mean this with all my heart, the things I do and/or my accomplishments I’ve made here wouldn’t even be possible without my community, and the great support I receive from each and everyone of you on the daily.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Congratulations Haley!
