The Distinguished Freshman Scholarship Program at OU
The Distinguished Freshman Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding entering freshmen who declare a major in engineering with a one time award for their first year at OU. The deadline for the Distinguished Freshman Scholarship is February 1. In order to be considered for the College of Engineering Distinguished Freshman Award, students should complete the University of Oklahoma Scholarship application. All students who complete the University Scholarship application and who indicate a major in engineering will be considered for College of Engineering Freshman Scholarships. AFA Teens for Alzheimer’s Awareness College Scholarship
Scholarship awards to deserving college-bound students will be a $5,000 scholarship to the winner; and $2,500 and $1,000 scholarships to the first and second runners-up, respectively. Oklahoma Heritage Association Scholarship
Offers cash scholarships and tuition grants to high school students who have paid attention in their Oklahoma history classes. In the Oklahoma Heritage Scholarship Competition, ninth through 12th grade students take a test on Oklahoma history, geography and people. Those with high scores in each county receive a $1,000 cash scholarship or tuition grant to an Oklahoma college or university. All counties have at least seven scholarships available. The application is due in first part of February, and the test takes place in the spring at locations across the state.
